Dear Nitin,
Hare Krishna,
All glories to Sri Guru & Gauranga.

There are many instances in Srimad Bhagavatam where externally the person
appears to be a demon or irreligious but at heart they are Krishna
Conscious.
One of the instances is of the demon Vrtrasura. SB Canto 6 Chap 9-16.

In CC we find the instance of Pundarika Vidyanidhi who externally seems to
be a lusty man to Gadadhara Pandita but when Mukunda recited Srimad
Bhagavatam (10.6.35) to him, he immediately went into ecstacy and later
Gadhadhara Pandita felt guilty of judging from the externals.

Moreover, if you read futher in the purport of BG.4.8 you’ll find; “whereas
a person who is one hundred percent engaged in Krsna consciousness is
accepted as a s?dhu, even though such a person may be neither learned nor
well cultured.” eg., Jada Bharata.

So the message is that we should not judge others because of their
externals.
Hope, I was able to answer your question.

Hare Krishna,
Your Servant
Radha Rasikraj Das
