Please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

So i have received two completely different answers.
What is interesting and important that (as Shyamananda Prabhu noted) that
this is not mentioned in any scripture as a way to honour guru. Neither we
see that Srila Prabhupada was carried on devotees’ arms during kirtana while
He was present on this planet . Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura in his song
“Sri guru vandana” sings about spiritual master “i bow to his lotus feet
with great awe and reverence”. Can grabing a guru and carying him here and
there be done great awe and reverence? The mood which i personally feel in
such kind of kirtanas is- guru is “one of us”.
